WATER, IT’S IN OUR BLOOD
Turns out, water is kind of a big deal. Your body, yep the one you’re in right now, is about 70% water. And it’s impossible to create wine without the stuff. (Wine is about 85% water, fyi.)
If you’re from the Willamette Valley, where we live and make our wines, water is freakin’ everywhere. Streams, lakes, ponds, brooks, rivers, oceans – you name it, we’ve got it all. And it literally just falls from the sky.
Thanks Mother Nature.
Our connection to the natural world is everything, and without it, Union Wine would simply not exist. Our business, and everything we do, is committed to considering the environment while working to minimize our impact wherever we can.
We also know we can’t do it alone. Which is why we're partnering with other organizations that support our values and extend our reach. Together, we can do so much more. And as it turns out, helping the planet is a lot like drinking wine, it's more fun with friends.
WE GIVE A DAMN
AND WE HOPE YOU DO TOO
Raise a can to our newest partnership
We’re joining with The Nature Conservancy to start a bigger conversation about water and the environment. We will be announcing our new partnership on April 2nd, on our way to Earth Day.
We’d love for you to join us in this journey as we raise awareness, take action and share with our friends and neighbors along the way.
Between April 1, 2021 and September 7, 2021, Union Wine Company will contribute $50,000 to The Nature Conservancy (TNC). The purchase of wine will not result in a contribution to TNC. The mission of TNC is to conserve the land and waters on which all life depends. More information about TNC is available by mail at 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22203, by phone at (800) 628-6860 or at www.nature.org.
