Kings Ridge makes Willamette Valley wines that meet you where you are. Focused, flavorful, and refreshingly easygoing, they're built for the curious newcomer and the longtime wine lover alike. Whatever the moment, there's a Kings Ridge for it.
Kings Ridge wines are from the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley and are characterized by the unique flavors found only in this region. One of the coolest winegrowing regions in North America, the Willamette Valley reliably produces quality vinifera wines with a transparency and site-specificity found nowhere else.
There's no other grape and location in North America that is as transparent and, therefore, vintage and site specific as Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

Complex soils with diversity in composition and depth, combined with a northerly latitude providing extended hours of sunlight during the growing season, ensure pure expressions of terroir. We collaborate with some of the region's most experienced growers, with vineyards located predominantly in the Chehalem Mountains, Dundee Hills, Van Duzer Corridor, and Eola-Amity Hills sub-AVAs. This allows us to tell the story across the valley.

A focused, aromatic Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with dark and red fruits, a hint of barrel spice, and the kind of fresh acidity that keeps you coming back to the glass. Made the traditional way: naturally fermented with extended skin contact, then aged eight months in barrel. Sourced entirely from estate and long-term partner vineyards.

Juicy, plush, and bright. Our Pinot Gris is hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed, then fermented cool to hold onto its fresh aromas. We block malolactic fermentation to keep the acidity lively, and six months on the lees gives the wine its rounder, fuller texture. It is our take on the most balanced Pinot Gris the valley has to offer.

A balanced Willamette Valley Chardonnay built from fruit across four hand-picked vineyards. Part of the blend ferments in barrel for warmth and depth; the rest ferments cool and slow in stainless steel to keep the aromas crisp. The result has structure, freshness, and just enough richness to keep things interesting.
Kings Ridge was founded in 1990 by Rex Hill in what is now the Chehalem Mountain AVA. In 2005, Ryan Harms, then the winemaker at Rex Hill, acquired it and made it the first brand in Union Wine Co.
Ryan’s idea was simple: make outstanding Willamette Valley wine that does not ask you to save it for a special occasion. That principle has guided Kings Ridge ever since.

Beyond our estate vineyards, we work hand in hand with some of the valley’s most experienced growers, building long-term relationships that show up in every bottle.

Grapes sourced exclusively from estate vineyards and long-term partner relationships across the region. Our ability to incorporate grapes grown solely in the Willamette Valley growing region of Oregon gives Kings Ridge wines their north star.
Genuinely good Willamette Valley wine at a price that doesn't sting. We think the best wine is the wine you can actually afford to open more than once a year. Quality should be the default, not the upgrade.

Natural fermentation. Patient aging. Whole-cluster pressing, lees contact, and the kind of small choices in the cellar that show up in the glass. Methods that step out of the way and let the fruit do the talking.
Bright acidity, balanced structure, and the kind of freshness that earns a wine a permanent seat at dinner. Pinot Noir with the lift to handle a braise or a roast. Pinot Gris that cuts through cream, cheese, and anything off the grill. Chardonnay with just enough richness to stand up to roast chicken without crowding the plate. Wines built to share a meal, not steal the spotlight.
