Our cans contain the same premium wine you’ll find in our Underwood bottles.
Introduced in 2014 as an alternative way to enjoy our Underwood wines, cans were a revolutionary step forward for quality wine. The same wine that goes into the bottle goes into the can, but with some distinct advantages.
Aluminum is more recyclable, more portable, and less expensive than glass. Roughly 60% of a winery's carbon footprint is created with glass. A 9-liter case of cans weighs 21 lbs versus 36 lbs for glass.
Cans do not absorb light and oxygen like glass and cork bottles. A liner in the can prevents aluminum from contacting the wine and affecting the flavor of the product.
The only wine designed specifically for hot tubs, hiking trails, backyard hangs, and everywhere glass bottles fear to tread.
